Daymark Health's recent partnership with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to deliver supportive, personalized cancer care to more than 2,500 BCBSRI members currently undergoing cancer treatment is in the news with Providence Business News.
Under the partnership, BCBSRI members with cancer now have access to Daymark's dedicated team of nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and Health Partners, available in the home and virtually at no added cost. The program was developed in close collaboration with Rhode Island's cancer institutes, with a shared goal of improving outcomes and creating a more coordinated, less overwhelming treatment experience.
BCBSRI President and CEO Martha L. Wofford captured what the partnership means for patients: "There is nothing scarier than being diagnosed with cancer and feeling alone navigating the healthcare system. Now with Daymark, our members consistently tell us that they feel supported, and that care feels more coordinated, more personal and less overwhelming."
